Unearthed Treasure
Deep Within
Yelling out in a vast
wilderness - no response.
Constantly fighting off
the pain,
yet it grows larger
The plain truth shines out,
yet we mask ourselves
deep within.
How much more must we
endure, before
it tears us apart?
Shredding the inner fabric
but all that we show
is non-emotion.
Life is a series of complications,
out of one, into another.
The 'project'
They have come amongst us -
(in search of more land...)
Now they say they're sorry,
but that does not give us
back what we've lost.
Our elders have taught us
to stay away
Talk of the 'project'
has been passed around,
"No more of you will have to die,"
the man says,
but he doesn't see
the harm.
It's best not to interfere
but it seems like
it's too late.
