The instruction booklet

There are few things in this world
that don't have an instruction booklet.
One of them is life.
How would one even try to write one?
Are there any specific instructions?
What warranties are there?
Too many questions and not the right answers.

Route 76

Did you know Route 76 runs right through my backyard?
   What?
Yeah man there's a highway back there
   Why did they put it in your backyard?
Well, no one knows for certain, maybe it's just a test.
   A test of what?
A test of whether I'll go crazy or not.
   Oh.

life insurance

And yet the little boy sits across from me
   smiling, unaware of the dangers of this world.
The old man at the counter trying to relive his
   past reminds me of how life shouldn't be.
The facts get confused and life is overrated.
  (I wouldn't make a good life insurance salesman,
    would I?)
