Realms of Reality
City Ballad
The clock - it can only
tick forward;
Our mind filled with garbage -
who says we should recycle?
Life can be so abstract -
here one minute,
gone the next.
Sea filled with angry beasts
"What have you done?"
The man calmly walks down
6th avenue -
not even looking back.
What lies around that corner?
...could just be the bus stop....
Challenge
Beyond our handicrafted fantasies,
lies our hated realities...
Reaching for all that is not real,
only pretending,
it is a fine line.
Challenge those fears,
though they cling,
[They could take you over...]
Differences of opinion
creates the worst arguments;
Our feet drag,
we don't want to catch up.
